CHARLOTTE'S KITCHEN DESIGN & SPECIFICATION SERVICE
With decades of experience in the kitchen industry and thousands of kitchen design specifications undertaken, I bring an expert perspective on kitchen cupboards, appliances and kitchen design. I provide kitchen renovation consultations for indoor and outdoor kitchen spaces to homeowners who are in the process of purchasing a new kitchen or reconfiguring their existing room.
My kitchen consultation supports each client in their mission to create a distinctive and functional kitchen room. Kitchen makers offer a collection of very similar-looking cupboard styles and, with repetitive sales techniques, are vying for your business. I differ with my more bespoke way of working, providing an enlightened design and specification service to clients looking for a less mainstream aesthetic and exclusive yet cost-effective design service. I shortcut the traditional kitchen showroom sales process by developing a considered kitchen design brief, advising on which cabinet maker will best suit each client's needs and providing a tried and tested resource for all the unique kitchen room components such as handle makers and specialist appliances; oh and the best Kitchen Cupboard Paint too of course!

The benefit for my clients is a detailed kitchen design with a specification suitable for installation with the option of an accompanying materials report and itemised and organised hyperlinked shopping list. The services you can choose for me to provide can be broken down into;

Project Management - coordinating trades and logistics for you in your home, or you can manage the renovation yourself.
I charge hourly and on average, my fees start from £500, including vat. Each proposal is tailored to your property and kitchen needs, with the fee proposal agreed upon in advance.

Making your kitchen truly yours and not merely a replication of a kitchen showroom or magazine cover is easy when you source a few bespoke features. Using local makers and specialists means that you can contribute to protecting heritage craft skills and have a unique feature too. My resources introduce you to incredible select makers and products that you may not yet have discovered.
BRITISH BUILT KITCHEN CABINETRY
I am proud to be a Mackintosh Kitchens retailer. Made to order in Yorkshire, the cabinets are made to the highest standards of British manufacturing.
The 18mm laminated Egger Board cabinets are made using traditional glue and dowel techniques, pressed under pressure-controlled conditions to ensure they're perfectly square and rigid. They have solid 15mm cupboard back panels and discreet fixings. The cabinets are delivered fully fitted with the specified interiors, like Oak drawers or storage widgets. With soft-close, smooth-running GRASS® quality drawer systems, you can be confident of a 40kg load-bearing capacity. That's a lot of crockery per pan drawer!
With a wide variety of door styles and prices, solid Ash, Oak, MDF painted, vinyl wrapped, high gloss lacquered, and contemporary svelte super matt, handleless or not, there will certainly be a style to suit your dream kitchen.
If you opt for a painted finish, it is painted in a controlled production environment. I have investigated this in the factory and can vouch for an impressive, ongoing investment to ensure the finishes are as durable as possible. To keep the fitting work on site straightforward, all the fascia doors and drawer fronts are attached when the kitchen is delivered.
The Mackintosh cabinets, hinges and drawer boxes have a robust 20-year guarantee. Doors and selected accessories have a 15-year guarantee, so you can enjoy your new kitchen with complete confidence.
WROUGHT IRON FEATURES
Exclusive and handmade wrought iron components such as island support brackets, pot hangers and cupboard door handles add a distinctive look to your kitchen. Using the beautiful textures and waxed finish as part of an overall renovation palette is perfect for adding complementary features.
Pewsey-based artist blacksmith, Melissa Cole, forges to order from either component designs by Charlotte as part of her design and specification service or unique Melissa Cole designs.
TEXTILES FOR THE KITCHEN
Finely crafted pieces of functional textile art are vital for a vibrant kitchen space. The Pink House by Rebecca Cole collection champions artisan textile traditions from Europe and Nigeria. Rebecca has taken these traditional textiles and re-imagined them for the interior design market as trims for upholstery and furnishings. Pink House textile products are a perfect way to style your room and introduce the vital softer elements of colour with curtains, blinds and cushions trimmed with limited edition runners or block-printed and hand embroidered trims.
GLASS SPLASHBACKS AND WALL PANELS
Using an independent company dedicated to creating the highest quality glass panels possible and that specialise in coloured, printed & mirrored glass splashbacks, custom-made for every space will give you peace of mind. Optidek are my preferred supplier for their comprehensive turnkey service.

Professional decorators locally to you will be able to use Kitchen Cupboard Paint. To date, we have had 100% positive feedback on the application, coverage and ease of use of our special water-based paint from our clients own decorators.
